I rolled my blazer tonight!

Postby kanes_disciple » Sun Dec 19, 2010 1:48 am

First off we got some snow here where I live. I was going down a two lane highway and was behind a lady going like 25 MPH, so I decided to pass her. I got past her and was getting back in my lane when I began fishtailing, next thing I know I'm going sideways at about 35 MPH towards a ditch, I thought I would hit and stay upright, no I flipped atleast twice and ended up on the roof. I couldnt get out until a couple of guys broke out my back drivers side window and helped me crawl out. My right hand is cut up and I have a cut on my head, but other than that I'm thankful to be alive and also thankful that no one else was with me. I will post some pics of the blazer as soon as I can. I'm not out of the car audio yet and I will reinstall my stuff in whatever vehicle I get next!

Oh shit! Lucky you weren't hurt bad.

I was hearing about a lot of accidents...especially I-29 just south of town.

OK heres the pics I took with my iPhone this morning:

I believe the motor broke from its motor mounts as u can see

A look from the passenger side

All I can say I'm really happy I had my front windows tinted. As you can see my window didnt shatter because if it had I'm sure it would have gotten all over my face and prolly cut me pretty badly

Last pic I got of it

My buddy got in and moved around like a monkey to get my door speakers and most of my wiring out. The only thing left in it is my alarm and thats just because we couldnt get under the dash. The only thing that broke was my volt meter, so for the most part I'm happy that I didnt ruin any of the stereo equipment!

So far I'm doing ok. I got some pain in my ribs on my left side, but thats prolly from me going into the drivers door after I hit the ditch. I gotta say say thanks you to everyone who has responded with kind words and I will be alright in the end. I gotta go back to work on tuesday and then drive on wednesday, so I gotta keep putting one step in front of the other because I got a family to support!
