ok i just picked up a pair of alphasonik pw815j dvc 15" subs and i was told they were blown ok fine im planning a recone with psi soft parts but upon further inspection i find that one sub was wired out of phase and they seem to work fine but only i put the dmm on them and it reads 19 ohms per coil wtf????? are they bad but wow from dual 4s to dual 19 no way

Sounds like the power applied to the coils when they were out of phase was enough to force the ionic properties of the coils, and changed the dcr. Impedance doesn't change when the woofer is at rest. doesn't mean they are blown, but good luck getting anything out of the amp you are using

it was just a test fit i just picked the car up the subs still need rebuilt. i may just build a single sub box and have a spare sub not really 100% sure which direction yet. but i dont think it would be louder but i know to the ear it will sound like it

That looks like a fun ass car to build

I would do both, subs up, port up as close to the back of the hatch as possible. Use all the space back there and make a beauty board to make sure there is no back wave
